Wake up, Report, Was late, Tour around school, Went to eat at a western restaurant, Free and easy all the way!!, Spam food, Shower, Sleep!~
That pretty much summed up my 2nd day at Wuhan! Our reporting time was 9.30am and we were late for 1 minute, was still fined RMB $20 though. :/ Went to take a walk around the school with one of the teachers guiding us! Was quite shocked at how old and worn down the university and the areas around the school was very worn down. Almost as if it was struck by an earthquake!!! One thing even more interesting is, one side of the street is worn down and old, the other side is almost new! With restaurants and brand new renovated bakery to go with. Speaking of bakery, had the hokkaido milk bread today for breakfast! Damn nice I swear!
Tour around the school was okay, just walked a bit, went to the parade square, looked at the signboard map of the school, and went back to our dorm.

Classroom that we'll be studying in for the next 5 weeks!

Their canteen! Was advised not to eat there by my lecturer :X

Rabbits were sold too!
One of our lecturers then brought us to a western restaurant near our school to eat. Some of the china students followed us too! Was quite shocked to learn that some of them have never eaten any western food in their life before even though a western food restaurant is so close to their school! Most said that its because of the price and how they are not used to eating in a western settings, so we had to teach some of them proper table manners eating in a western restaurant, how to use the fork and knife, what to do before, during and after the meal and such. Quite a nice experience overall!!! Ordered a steak which cost like S$12.70. Best of all, it came with a soup, and a drink! Of which I chose red wine to pair with the steak (yes, they served red wine as a FREE drink)!

The soup (and the red wine behind)

Photo of the steak! Damn big piece right!!
After the meal, went to the supermarket that we were suppose to visit on the first day! Bought some necessities - dustbin cover, cloth pegs, marshmallows, doormat, some more hangers, tissue packets, and etc.
We also went to get our sim card from the store in the university! Yes, the university have a telephone operator store in it! So went to bought the sim card, which contains RMB$50, free calls to each other within the campus, free 150 sms to other china telephone numbers and only cost 0.7 yuan (or 7 jiao) to sms back to singapore! It also comes with 60mb FREE internet data usage! Which is damn shiok but useless if you ask me given that our phones can't access facebook and twitter directly without going through the NPVPN.
At night, it was one of our friend's birthday! So we actually went out and got a cake from the same bakery where we got the Hokkaido milk cake from. It was a cheese cake with fruits on top! Managed to give him a surprise as we chiong into his room at 12am on his birthday and sang him a birthday song, cut the cake, ate it and all left and went back to sleep! :P

Birthday Boy, Alex!

Eating the cake!
Overall quite an enjoyable day~ Getting to eat new stuff, such as the popiah/crepe! Fried rice, wet rice, hot dry noodles! All of which were pretty interesting and nice! Didn't quite liked the hot dry noodles though, not to my liking as its too dry... and cold by the time I got it back to the dorm. So yea, didn't like it, plus it came with the satay sauce! So it's pretty peanut-y, not something I like. They're damn cheap too!! I spent less than SGD $10 bucks to eat everything! Still got spare for buying slippers!
Alright, shall end this post off here~ See you guys tomorrow!! Tata~~
